A little nip in the air

Hello, there's a little nip in the air, my favorite time of the year is coming. You can always put on a sweater, but when you are sweaty hot there is only so much you can take off.

I was talking to one of my advertisers the other day and we were talking about what's going on in the world today. She said something that got me thinking. At our age life should not be this hard. Yes, the world today is beyond crazy, very sad what's going on. In my little world, I am ok. I have friends and family who love me. I have a job and food on my table, and most important, I have toilet paper. I just keep praying and hope we get through this winter safely.

Supervisor Gary Maas would like to let you all know that he is working on lowering the 55 mile an hour speed limit sign that is coming around the south side of the lake. The paper work is in to the county and state DOT to lower it to 30 miles an hour. Gary said it takes time if we all be mindful and just slow down, yes I know I have to slow down.

Lakeview Pizza and Bar is now part of an ordering App named SLICE. To download the app, go into Google play store or Apple store and search for SLICE and install. You can place your order and pay for it on line from the app, it's quick and easy.

Fosterdale Country Café would like to thank all of their great customers for another great year. They could not have done it without all of you. Dave's Backyard BBQ is also closed for the season. We still have The Cochecton Fire Station Restaurant and Annie's Ruff Cut open. Last night I came home in the dark, and it was so nice to see Heinle's all lit up and busy.

Facebook is a wonderful thing, I check it every morning for peoples birthdays.

Happy Birthday to Elizabeth Bringle, Pam DeMan, Dottie Esselman and everyone else who is having a birthday in Sept. The one birthday I saw and would like to wish a very big happy birthday is Jack Costello of Jeffersonville on his 80th birthday. Jack is one hell of a guy always out and about helping people.

Keep smiling and have a great week, and you can e-mail me at leeniebeans@citlink.net or call 845/252-3568 if you have any news. My new deadline is Friday.
