MILFORD, PA — Broadway conductor, pianist and composer Michael Rice will be performing in the Delmonico Room at the Hotel Fauchere on New Year’s Eve. The widely-acclaimed Rice, who has a home in the area, conducted “Peter Pan” on Broadway and, more recently, “1776” in San Francisco.

His piano stylings have been heard throughout New York City

including well-known venues such as The Duplex, The Algonquin and The Rose Room at Lincoln Center. He is the composer of “Fireflies and Shooting Stars,” a song which inspired local author Ed Raarup’s book of the same title and the naming of Firefly Playground at Airport Park in Matamoras.

“Welcoming in the New Year with Michael Rice will make it an extra special evening in the Delmonico Room,” said the hotel’s food and beverage director, Hillary Needleman. “With a DJ and dancing in Bar Louis and Michael tickling the ivories upstairs, it is going to be a great night at the Hotel Fauchere.”

Rice will be performing in the Delmonico Room from 8 p.m. to past midnight during a five-course tasting dinner inspired by traditional lucky New Year’s Eve foods from around the globe. Dinner includes a celebratory glass of bubbly. Reservations at $120 per person are available between 6 and 9:30 p.m.

Bar Louis is offering a three-course prix fixe New Year’s Eve dinner for $75 per person, with reservations from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Music and dancing will begin at 11 p.m., led by DJ Barcelona featuring music from the 1950s to contemporary classics.

For reservations contact Hillary Needleman at hillary.needleman@hotelfauchere.com or 570/409-1212 x150.
