Bronx man arrested after accident on 17

On Saturday August 25, 2018 at approximately 8:05 PM a patrol from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision that occurred on State Route 17 westbound in the vicinity of exit 109 in Rock Hill.  A gray Mazda sedan was reported to have left the scene of the accident and was being followed by a witness. A few minutes later a state police unit spotted the vehicle on 17B near the racino. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as Nathan S. Zucker, age 30, of the Bronx. Zucker was taken into custody and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving while ability impaired by drugs. Deputies also discovered that Zucker was on probation in the Bronx for possession of a controlled substance. The defendant Posted $100 bail and is to appear in the Town of Thompson court on September 17th at 5:00 PM.
