Allow only the desirables —
lady bugs, katydids, damsel flies,
and the like — give the cute ones names:

Jiminy cricket, Charlotte spider,
and Flash the lightning bug, Welcome
mantises, if in prayer or not,

and let the monarch butterflies reign.
Malarial mosquitos, not nice,
deserve quick flying bats … or ICE.
