HARRIS, NY — Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) announces the 40th annual 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon, benefitting Catskill Regional Medical Center’s Cardio-Pulmonary Department. This year’s Heart-A-Thon will take place on Friday, February 23, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Woodland Garden Café, located on the hospital’s ground floor.

The Heart-A-Thon will be broadcast live on WSUL, 98.3/95.7 FM, and all pledges will be read aloud on the air. The event will feature guest speakers, information and tips about heart health and a variety of health care demonstrations.

Guest hosts will include Catskill Regional Medical Center’s CEO, Jonathan Schiller; CRMC vice president of patient care services, chief nursing officer and administrator at Grover M. Hermann Hospital, Rolland Bojo; Focus Media president and CEO Josh Sommers; and many more Sullivan County celebrities and organizations.

Proceeds from the Heart-A-Thon will subsidize the purchase of an advanced cardio training mannequin and equipment to support the Grover M. Hermann Hospital Division in Callicoon.

Representatives of various community organizations from across Sullivan County will be on hand every 30 minutes to present the donations they have raised. Listeners can call in their pledges to express their support. Tribute red and gold hearts, to honor loved ones who have been afflicted with cardiac-related conditions, are also available for purchase at $1 and $10 at multiple retail locations throughout the community. Private donations can be made payable to 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon, and mailed to: CRMC/Attn: Jodi Goodman, P.O. Box 800, Harris, NY 12742.
