MILANVILLE, PA — On Saturday, August 31 from 3 to 7 p.m., the final event of the “At the Farm” series will take place at Second District Vineyard and Hops Farm, located at 163 Fallsdale Rd.
Attendees will enjoy a mini Makers’ Market that highlights some of the region’s finest crafters and artists. Several vendors will showcase their skills with a demonstration of their processes.
Singer-songwriter and TRR reporter Owen Walsh will provide live music from 5 to 7 p.m.
This event is free, but donations will be accepted. Do not BYOB as Second District Brewing will be serving beer. Food from the Mustard Seed Café will also be available for purchase. Bring your lawn chairs and leave your pets at home.

ELDRED, NY — On Saturday, August 24, the Eldred High School is hosting a community health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature more than 30 exhibitors, free demonstrations, screenings, activities and raffle prizes.
There will be free vision screenings for children, blood-pressure checks, demos for dental hygiene, yoga, Pilates, massage, acupuncture and substance-abuse information.

HONESDALE, PA — Alicia Utegg of Honesdale High School is the recipient of this year’s scholarship award from the Lackawaxen River Conservancy (LRC). Utegg was an Envirothon participant and a volunteer for the animal-rescue organization, Billy’s New Hope Barn. She became especially interested in protecting animals through the rehabilitation of environments.
LRC is dedicated to the protection and preservation of the Lackawaxen River and invites graduating seniors who attend high school in the Lackawaxen Watershed and intend to pursue a career in environmental conservation to apply.
BEACH LAKE, PA — Anyone can benefit from engaging in meditation for five or 10 minutes. On Sunday, August 25 at 10:15 a.m., Christian Gauthier of the Kadampa Meditation Center will present a talk about the Buddhist perspective of inner peace and how to cultivate it within ourselves using simple techniques of breathing meditation. He will be speaking at the Berlin Township Community Center. All are invited to the one-hour service sponsored by the Upper Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — On Sunday, August 25 at 1 p.m., the public is invited to come assist clearing trails in Mongaup State Park so they become more accessible and welcoming again.
Local volunteers of the Willowemoc Trail Crew will instruct participants through basic trail maintenance techniques. The crew will sponsor two work sessions to help improve the hiking experience on the Quick Lake Trail, Loggers loop and Flynn Trail. Participants are encouraged to bring water, work gloves and loppers if you have them. Wear long pants and sturdy waterproof footwear.
