Farm Arts Collective looking for new members

NARROWSBURG, NY — Farms Arts Collective is seeking more members to join all aspects of its ensemble theatre creations. The collective hosts performance workshops Thursday evenings at 5:30 p.m. at the Narrowsburg Union’s Delaware Hall.

Workshop topics include performance, music, stilt-walking, video, writing, design, visual art, puppetry and production management. Some workshops will feature guest artists who will share their expertise and skills.

Stone soup cooking class

HURLEYVILLE, NY — Farm Arts Collective will host a live cooking class focusing on cooking vegetables, composting and fermenting. Written and performed by Tannis Kowalchuk, Jess Beveridge, directed by Dan Lendzian, with apron design by Sue Currier, the class/show features four great recipe demos, original music, a telling of the folktale “Stone Soup” and Kowalchuk’s accordion serenade, “Ode to the Cabbage.”

The all-ages musical play will have its premiere on Sunday, November 17 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Hurleyville Arts Centre. Tickets cost $20 and $10 for children.

DIY wreath making

PORT JERVIS, NY — On Tuesday, November 19 at 6 p.m., Betty Jessup will lead a holiday wreath-making workshop. Bring scissors or wire cutters; all other materials will be provided. The workshop costs $12 to cover the cost of materials.

DanceFest

MILFORD, PA — On Saturday, November 16 from 6 to 7:45 p.m., the Delaware Valley High School will host DanceFest Milford, featuring acclaimed NYC companies: The Bang Group, Tina Croll Dance Company, DanielRose Project and Hanna Q Dance Company.

Tickets cost $30 for adults, seniors and college students $15 and kids are admitted free.
