I spent a lot of time at home and concentrated on enjoying every day, doing things I liked.

I did many of my perennial gardens over and I am thrilled with the results. I added more beautiful koi to my pond.

I borrowed two to four novels from the library every week and discovered some very good authors I hadn’t read yet. I still met friends for lunch at least twice a month. My husband and I did more cooking together and spent time at the dog park; the dogs had a great time and so did we.

I did some more paintings, and I played my guitars and ukuleles much more than previous years. I took naps. I did some volunteer work.

I have always believed that life is what you make it. I make it good, no matter what the hell is going on with the rest of the world. I don’t waste time on things I can’t control.
