Hello. In the new school year, let’s keep all the children, parents and teachers in our thoughts and prayers. School tax bills are online; to look yours up, visit www.taxlookup.net, click Sullivan and put in your last name. Remember, I am not the school tax collector. Please give Doreen Hanson a call with any questions at 845/482-4610 ext. 4115; leave a message and she will call you back.

Cochecton Youth Commission (CYC) wants to know: Are you ready for a paint party to break up the boredom? Laurel’s Hometown Cafe is at it again, offering two dates for this great art opportunity! On Thursday, October 8 or Friday, October 30, you can enjoy painting a beautiful fall farm scene on a tin can. The cost is free for Cochecton youth and $47.50 for out-of-town friends and adults. This amount includes dinner, drinks and dessert. Both parties will start at 5 p.m. Please contact Michelle at 570/419-8801 as soon as possible. Space is extremely limited due to social distancing. There is still an opening on the CYC board; the next meeting is Tuesday, October 6 at 7 p.m. in the Cochecton Town Hall if you are interested. You can check CYC out on Facebook under New Cochecton Youth Commission. All events are free to Cochceton youth.

Sullivan West High School fall sports are delayed this year. As of now, Monday, September 21 is the new date; look for updates on the school website homepage under athletics. If you have any questions about kids going back to school, check out Facebook—it has the answers to all your questions. I was just reading something about kids trading face masks... oh lordy, I hope that does not happen. I wish them all luck. I know I could not be a happy camper if I had to wear a mask all day.

Lakeview Pizzeria has extended their hours for eat-in/take-out with social distancing from Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. I was told they have new zucchini sticks and corn nuggets added to their menu. Fosterdale Country Café’s last day of business is Sunday, September 13.

If you have any information that you would like to get out there, send me an email.

Keep smiling and have a great week. You can email me at leeniebeans@citlink.net or call 845/252-3568 if you have any news. My new deadline is Friday. You can also check me out in community living.
