LAKE ARIEL, PA — On Saturday, August 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lacawac Sanctuary Environmental Education Center, learn which algal species have the potential to be harmful, why harmful algal blooms form, how blooms are detected and the challenges and best practices associated with bloom management.

DAMASCUS, PA — Ed Wesely and Deb Meyers will host an outdoor workshop, “Monarchs and Native Plants,” to teach about the monarch life cycles and autumn migration, on Saturday, August 3 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Participants will search for monarchs in a private garden that includes the native plants monarchs require. The garden’s location will be disclosed upon completing registration.
