HONESDALE, PA — On Sunday, August 18 at 11 a.m., The Cooperage is hosting an essential oils workshop. It will be a hands-on class that answers many questions about the benefits and application of essential oils.

Songs of the ‘lost and mysterious South’


PHILLIPSPORT, NY — The Phillipsport Community Center continues with its monthly music night on Saturday, August 17 at 7 p.m. with So Brown. The acclaimed musician from Texas and Alabama is known for his songs about the “lost and mysterious South.”

‘H.M.S. Pinafore’ to set sail


NARROWSBURG, NY — The Delaware Valley Opera (DVO) is presenting the comic opera “H.M.S. Pinafore” on Saturdays and Sundays, August 17, 18, 24 and 25 at the Tusten Theater.

Summer artists’ reception


PORT JERVIS, NY — The reception for UpFront Exhibition Space’s summer artists will take place on Saturday, August 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. The show, which includes work from nearly 20 different artists, will be on display until Thursday, September 26.

Resorts World Catskills joins the anniversary celebration


MONTICELLO, NY — From August 16 to 18 from 6 p.m. to 12 midnight, Resorts World Catskills will be giving away $50 in free play to 50 winners every 50 minutes. In addition to the giveaways, there will be live entertainment at Bar 360.

The John Fogerty Tribute Band will play on Friday, August 16 at 8 p.m. Pearl, a Janis Joplin Tribute Band, will play on Saturday, August 17 at 8 p.m. Gratefully Yours, a Grateful Dead inspired band, will perform on Sunday, August 18 at 3 p.m.

‘Catskill Talks’ to host 3D-graphic artist


WURTSBORO, NY — On Saturday, August 17 at 5 p.m. at the John Neilson Gallery, Catskill Talks returns with 3D-graphic artist, Brandi Merolla. She founded her own company and has made custom 3D displays for the record industry, The Howard Stern Show and FAO Schwarz for 36+ years, while showing her fine art in galleries.

Much of her artwork focuses on honoring the environment and examining our responsibility for changing the climate. Her environmental artwork has been recognized and shown around the world.

The event is free and open to the public.
