The task force is an initiative of the Pike County Commissioners focused on decreasing the number of tick-borne illnesses by building community awareness through education, support and advocacy through school-nurse tick-removal protocols, legislation and testing.

Meetings of the Tick Borne Diseases Task Force are held on the fourth Thursday of each month (unless otherwise indicated) at 10 a.m. at the Pike County Administration Building, 506 Broad Street. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 5.

For more information about the task force, contact Brian Snyder at bsnyder@pikepa.org or call 570/296-3569.
