Mental health awareness, theatre performance

WURTSBORO, NY — On Sunday, September 8 at 2 p.m., Friends of the Mamakating Library is sponsoring a performance of “Every Brilliant Thing,” a powerful piece of theatre about depression, by Duncan MacMillan with Jonny Donahoe.

The play has been performed around the world. This local production is being done as a fundraiser/awareness raiser for NAMI Sullivan County—the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The performance will be held at the Town of Mamakating Town Hall.

Seating is limited and reservations are strongly suggested. Arrive no later than 1:30 p.m. The show is free with a suggested donation of $20. All proceeds go to benefit NAMI Sullivan County, NY. The production is not recommended for children under the age of 16.
