MONTICELLO, NY — Monticello Elks Lodge #1544 sent boxes of food including complete ham dinners to 50 local veterans for the holidays thanks to a $2,000 Elks National Foundation Gratitude Grant. Elks and friends packed 50 boxes on December 19. Pictured are Jules Blackstone, left, Jean Gallagher, Aileen Gunther, Frank Sanderson, Elena Sanderson, Ava Sandersen Schark, past district deputy Jim Sheerer, lecturing Knight Maggie Jaycox, East Central District deputy Jim Gerrard, past Exalted Ruler Bob Linzer and Matt Monroe. Also present but missing from the photo were Liz Bringle, lodge treasurer Sue Mapledoram and past Exalted Ruler Bill James.
