Call for photography entries

NARROWSBURG, NY — The Narrowsburg Union seeks photographers to submit work to an upcoming show, “People and Places: Photography As Observation.” The curated exhibition will be centered around photographic representations of people and places at a time of immense change, disruption and uncertainty.

Applicants should consider the following: If photography is a way of seeing, and a way of being seen, how have our views changed in the wake of a global pandemic and an international reckoning on race, class, power, and oppression, and what can a photograph show us about our own lives, and teach us about the lives of others?

People and Places: Photography as Observation will feature genres spanning portraiture, documentary, photojournalism, still life, fashion, and landscape will all be considered, in both digital and analog formats.

Artists should submit up to eight photos (300 dpi images) of their work by email to curator@narrowsburgunion.com. Include the artist’s name, contact information (phone number, email and physical address) and the title of the work, medium, dimension and year created.

Artists can submit at any time through Tuesday, September 15.

For more information, email curator@narrowsburgunion.com or call 845/252-3100.
