Pike women arrested in overdose death

MILFORD, PA — On July 28, 2019, Angelo Genell, 30, of Old Forge, PA, died in Milford of an overdose of heroin and fentanyl. After a six-month long investigation investigators from Pennsylvania State Police developed enough information to charge Nell Sheehan, 23, of Shohola, and Rebecca Moore, 31, of Dingmans Ferry, in connection with the overdose death. Sheehan and Moore were arrested on January 13.

Trooper Matthew Jones and Corporal Shawn Smith determined that Sheehan and Moore were with the victim on the day he overdosed. The cause of death was determined to be a mixture of heroin and fentanyl.

Police worked with a confidential informant they identified only as C13, who arranged to purchase drugs from the two women. The long investigation involved an examination of multiple emails, text messages and Facebook posts.

On the night of the overdose a woman called 911 to report the incident, but would not give her name. Officers eventually found the vehicle in which the overdose occurred on River Road in Milford, but they were too late to save Genell’s life.

Bail set at $500,000 each for Sheehan and Moore and the preliminary hearing will be on January 22.
