Pike County outdoors guide now available

MILFORD, PA — The Pike County office of community planning has created the third edition of “Pike Outdoors, a Public Lands Guide for Sportsmen and Outdoor Enthusiasts” with the assistance of the following partners: Pike County Board of Commissioners, USDI National Park Service, PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, PA Game Commission, PA Fish & Boat Commission, Pike County Conservation District and Pennsylvania Environmental Council. The guide includes maps and information about the county’s 12,000 acres of federal, state and locally owned lands. For a downloadable version of the guide, visit www.pikepa.org/PO/PikeOutdoors.pdf. Prepare for fishing season

ROSCOE, NY — On Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Roscoe High School gymnasium, the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum will host their Catskill Cane Revival to demonstrate casting both classic and new bamboo rods. Bring your own or try one at the event. Instructors will teach you how to cast or help fine-tune your skills. All ages are welcome.
