Members of the Monticello police arrested Joseph J. Robinson, Age 20, of Ellenville; Jujuan L. Dixon, Age 18, of Liberty and Adrian A. Davis, Age 21, of Liberty on Friday 6/25/21. All three defendants while acting in concert with each other, were charged with the felonies of Criminal use of a firearm in the 2nd degree, Criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree, Criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree and Reckless Endangerment in 1st degree.   

At 2:25 PM on Friday, Monticello Police responded to a 911 report of shots fired on Broadway near the intersection of Prince Street in the Village of Monticello. Monticello police were quickly on scene and observed several males in involved in a physical altercation. Three of the males, later identified as Robinson, Dixon and Davis were observed attempting to flee the scene in a Black 2010 KIA SOL motor vehicle.  Monticello Police Officers Eric Youmans and Tyrus Walker stopped the vehicle and recovered a loaded .38 Caliber Revolver from under the front passenger seat. The serial number for the firearm was also found to have been defaced.

All three defendants were arraigned before Village of Monticello Associate Justice Leo Glass and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $50,000.00 cash bail or $100,000.00 secured bond. Monticello Police were assisted by New York State Police, Sullivan County Sheriff Office and the Sullivan County District Attorney Office.

A filing of an accusatory instrument is merely an accusation and every person who is arrested is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
