HURLEYVILLE, NY — On Thursday, November 7 at 6 p.m., Gender Equality New York (GENY), in partnership with the Sullivan County Human Rights Commission, presents “Everything You Wanted to know about Transgender, Non-binary and Intersex People but Were Afraid to Ask,” a transgender question-and-answer forum.

Interactive Medicare presentations

PORT JERVIS, NY — The Hub at Port Jervis Library welcomes back Nancy Wolff for two Medicare information sessions on Monday, November 4 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and from 5 to 6:30.

There is no charge for this program, but seating is limited, so register today to reserve your place. Call the Hub at 845/856-7313 ext. 5, send an email to thehub@portjervislibrary.org, or register in person.

Hospice memorial service

HONESDALE, PA — Wayne Memorial’s Hospice Department will host a fall memorial service on Sunday, November 3 at 2 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, located at 827 Church St., to remember hospice patients who have passed away in the last several months.

The ceremony is open to the public.

Light refreshments will be served following the program. For more information or for those needing special accommodations, contact Lisa Grecco or Daniela Davis at 570/253-8431.

Cold-weather gear much needed for distribution

HONESDALE, PA — Donations are being accepted for cold-weather gear distributions from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily in the collection container of the Grace Episcopal Church hallway, located at 827 Church St.

Types of gear needed are clean blankets, plus-size only adult coats, children’s coats and snow-pants up to size 12, and all sizes of gloves and warm socks.

General clothing is not being accepted.

The next distributions are 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturdays November 2 and 16.
