Virus scare everywhere

What is going on? This virus is crazy. I always have plenty of toilet paper. I did go to the Monticello Walmart with my friend on Friday; it was not that bad. I got everything I wanted. I did need tissues, but I was not paying $1.98 for the same thing I can get in the Dollar Tree for a dollar. I did have a scare two weeks ago. Sunday night I had the chills, the sweats, dry heaves—it was coming out both ends, if you know what I mean. I also felt like I went a few rounds with Mike Tyson. I called my doctor and was told not to come in; I was being sent to the nursing triage. I was put on hold, then I was asked a slew of questions. I was also asked if I could hold my breath for 10 seconds; I did it for 25 without coughing. I was told I had the regular flu. Coronavirus involves fever, cough, shortness of breath and difficulty breathing. The regular flu includes fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle and body aches, headache and fatigue.

I was asked to put in the paper that the penny social on Saturday, March 28 has been postponed for the time being until this virus has passed. The Ladies of Lake Huntington Presbyterian Ladies Aid say thanks to everyone for understanding. The board of The Cochecton Youth Commission would like everyone who signed up for events to keep an eye on their Facebook page and emails for cancelations. As you all know, the schools in Sullivan County are closed.

The Lakeview Pizza and Bar would like to thank everyone who came out to their corned beef and cabbage dinner. It was a great success. They would like to invite everyone to a fundraiser they are hosting on Saturday, March 21.

Supervisor Gary Mass wants everyone to use common sense and follow the guidelines government officials have released about taking care of yourself and others.
