Wayne County Sentencing Information: July, 1

WAYNE COUNTY, PA —Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announces the following cases were addressed by the Honorable Janine Edwards, President Judge Wayne County Court:

LAURIE ELLEN ALGERIO, age 66 of Honesdale Pa, was sentenced to 12 months probation with 60 days house arrest through the SCRAM program for two counts of DUI (M). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a mandatory minimum fine of $600.00, participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with her assessment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, participate in counseling with the Wayne County Drug and Alcohol Recovery Specialist and comply with all recommendations, and undergo a mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment. These incidents occurred on December 24, 2020 and February 5, 2021 in Honesdale Borough.

KARISSA LESLIE KREIDLER, age 33 of Honesdale Pa, was sentenced to 24 months probation with 90 days house arrest through the SCRAM program for one count of DUI (M). She was also ordered to pay a mandatory minimum fine of $1,500.00, participate and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with her assessment, continue with mental health treatment, complete the Alcohol Safety Program, and complete 25 hours of community service. The incident occurred on October 10, 2020 in Berlin Township.

JAMES EDWARD MIHALIS, age 62 of Honesdale Pa, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in a State Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 6 months nor more than 24 months for one count of Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2) and one count of Criminal Mischief – Damage Property (M3). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, and pay restitution in the amount of $8,464.01. The incident occurred on February 25, 2021 in Damascus Township.

JUSTIN KENNETH SINGER, age 33 of Hawley Pa, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in a State Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 9 months nor more than 24 months for one count of Flight to Avoid Apprehension, Trial or Punishment (M2) and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance (M). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution. The incident occurred on January 14, 2021 in Honesdale Borough.

ANDREW JOSEPH SLEDZINSKI, age 24 of Lake Ariel Pa, was sentenced to 6 months probation for one count of Disorderly Conduct – Obscene Language/Gesture (M3). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine of $500.00, undergo a mental health evaluation and follow any recommendations for treatment, complete 20 hours of community service, have no contact with the victim, and not enter the Dollar General in Salem Township. The incident occurred on December 14, 2020 in Salem Township.

BRADLEY ISAAC SWASEY, age 19 of Honesdale Pa, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 10 days nor more than 12 months followed by 12 months probation for one count of Forgery-Altering Writing (F2), one count of Criminal Conspiracy-Engaging (M2), and one count of Theft by Deception-False Impression (M3). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, undergo a mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and obtain employment within 30 days of parole or provide documentation from a doctor precluding him from employment. The incidents occurred on February 6, 2021, February 23, 2021 and February 25, 2021 in Honesdale Borough.
