Wayne Memorial to offer COVID-19 vaccines at Wayne County Fair

Posted

HONESDALE, PA — First doses of both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available at the Wayne County Fair.
Individuals ages 12 and up are eligible for the Pfizer vaccine, although parental consent and presence are required for adolescents.
The Moderna vaccine is only approved for use by those 18 and older.
Wayne Memorial Hospital and Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers believe that this will help increase vaccination rates in the area and make accessing shots easier.
The free vaccines will be available from Friday, August 6 through Saturday, August 14, from 12 noon to 7:30 p.m (see ad below). No appointment will be necessary, and recipients will be advised on how to acquire the second dose. Fair vaccine recipients will also receive a complimentary T-shirt.
