ELDRED, NY — Eldred Central School, the “Home of the Yellow Jackets,” recently held an in-house ceremony to honor the athletics accomplishments of their scholar-athletes during the 2020-21 school year, as exemplified by the selection of the year’s Most Valuable Players (MVPs) at each varsity level sport.

“This was a unique year for our athletic teams, as well as every other school in the county,” said athletic coordinator JJ Gass.

In praising the scholar-athletes, he added, “The student-athletes showed perseverance and fortitude this past year in order to get back onto the athletic fields. It was a privilege to watch all our students participate in athletics this year. We wish all our seniors good luck in their futures and look forward to seeing our underclassmen return in the fall.”
