BETHEL, NY — Actor, dancer and director Russ Tamblyn has  now embraced writing, and he will appear at the Museum at Bethel Woods at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 to sign copies of his memoir, “Dancing on the Edge: A Journey of Living Loving, and Tumbling through Hollywood.”

He will appear with his daughter, the actor, director, writer and activist Amber Tamblyn.

Russ Tamblyn might be best known for his role as Riff in the 1961 film “West Side Story,” but he also has ties to Dennis Hopper, Neil Young and other 1960s icons.

Tamblyn was a child actor for MGM, and appeared in “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.” He went on to star in “Young Guns,” “Son of a Gunfighter” and “Peyton Place,” among other films.

Amber Tamblyn is an actress, director, author and activist. She starred in several television shows, including “General Hospital” and “Joan of Arcadia.” She’s appeared in many films and directed “Paint It Black.” She has published multiple books and writes on gender issues and women’s anger for The New York Times and other publications.

The gift shop at Bethel Woods will stock Russ’ book.
