Jack Zimmerman named advisory team chair

Posted

MARTIN COUNTY, MN The board of directors of Bravo  Zulu House has named Jack Zimmerman as chair of the advisory team and implementation team for the veteran’s program.

Bravo Zulu House (www.bravozuluhouse.org) has declared war on the number-one barrier to treating PTSD: veteran sobriety.

The program is the first all-military sober home in the country to address both PTSD and SUD (Substance Use Disorder).

Veteran leadership critical to success

“As a Purple Heart recipient, Jack has both the experience and

passion needed to connect with veterans and help them overcome the problems similar to the ones he encountered after losing both legs in Afghanistan,” said Tim Murray, executive director of Bravo Zulu House. “Jack’s story is inspiring to all of us. His skills as a public speaker, podcaster and author plus his commitment to his family, his military brothers and sisters, make him absolutely the right leader to guide us going forward.”

“I’m very humbled, and I absolutely embrace being part of this great mission of helping  my struggling military brothers. The Bravo Zulu House model is long overdue, much needed,  and I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see Bravo Zulu Homes all over the country,” said Zimmerman. “I look forward to partnering with Tim Murray, veteran organizations and generous donors to welcome our first residents in 2024.”

He continued, “I know how good I feel every day being sober and having a clear purpose in my life. I’ve dedicated my life going forward to helping others realize their goals, and find their purpose.  Bravo Zulu House will do exactly this for my military brothers.”

Bravo Zulu House is a nationally recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit organization designed to exclusively focus on the unique sober housing needs of our veterans. It is located in southern  Minnesota’s Martin County.
