MONTICELLO, NY — “It has come to our attention that some legislators are not in favor of maintaining the Adult Care Center under county management,” says the Senior Legislative Action Committee of Sullivan County (SLAC). “We urge all SLAC members and friends to attend the following meetings and make our voices heard. Let’s fill the room with our presence and advocacy.”

SLAC will discuss the nursing home's management at its next monthly meeting, to be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 29, in the Legislative Hearing Room, Sullivan County Government Center.

The following topics will also be discussed: how to be an effective activist, the rules of engagement, your rights under the Open Meetings Law, transparency in government, and rights when making a Freedom of Information Law request. 

Annual dues are $10. SLAC is affiliated with the StateWide Senior Action Council.
