Mike “the wood-dude” Isfan, dedicated husband, father, brother, uncle and friend passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Garnet Health Medical Center. Mike was born December 19, 1957, the youngest of four children to the late Mojse Isfan and the late Anka Isfan in Ecka Yugoslavia.

He retired as an architectural wood worker at Ebner Woodwork in the Bronx but continued his passion in his personal workshop up until the end.

He married his wife, Elvira Isfan on October 14, 1983. They later expanded their family with a son, Mike Isfan and daughter, Michelle Isfan.

Mike was a hard-working man who always ensured his family was taken care of and felt loved every day. Mike was always there to lend a helping hand. No task was too big. Mike enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and friends. From listening to music, playing cards until all hours of the night and watching the Buffalo Bills! “GO BILLS!!” He was always the brightest light in the room!

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Elvira Isfan. Their two children, Mike Isfan and his wife Roberta of Glen Spey, NY and Michelle Isfan of Glen Spey, NY. His three sisters, Domnica Nanu of Glen Spey, NY, Ana Krajovan and her husband Todor of Queens, NY, Marijora Hemanutz and her husband Peter of Andelfingen, Germany. Mike is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

There will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Cremation will be held at the MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA.
