CALLICOON, NY — Callicoon-based performer Miranda Hardy will appear at Rafter’s Tavern from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 12.

It’s a celebration of her new album release, and fellow artist Tim Gannon will join her.

The performances are donation-based and there will be no cover charge.

Hardy’s songwriting mixes comedy and depth. Her most recent release, “Trapped in an Irish Drinking Song,” made it to the top of the Folk Alliance folk-DJ chart for the week of St. Patrick’s Day, and the self-produced video has gained over 7,000 views on YouTube.

Hardy’s sophomore album, “The Price of Happiness,” will be out May 31. It is a blend of folk and pop.

Hardy began pursuing music after stepping away from her decade-long corporate advertising career. She now runs a songwriter night in New York City, encouraging emerging artists to hone their craft.
