CALLICOON, NY — Open Mic First Fridays returns to the Delaware Free Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library. It takes place at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, April 5.

All performers and poets are welcome to share a poem, song, story or other inspiration.

Afterward, they can join award-winning poet Elana Bell, author of “Mother Country.”

Bell “brings her complex heritage as the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors to consider the difficult question of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,” a library spokesperson said.

Learn more about Bell at www.elanabell.com/.

Register on the library’s calendar at www.WSPLonline.org. For additional information, email wsplprograms@rcls.org. Visit the calendar at www.wsplonline.org, and register if necessary. Email  with any questions.
