LORDS VALLEY, PA — Nurse Practitioner Pamela Gaeng, FNP-C, a long-time resident of Greeley, PA, is the primary care provider in her home community.
Gaeng officially joined Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers’ (WMCHC) Pike Family Health Center in early September. She treats patients ranging from age four to adult at the practice, which is located at 750 Rte. 739.
“I have lived in Pike County for 43 years, and understand the healthcare challenges this area faces,” Gaeng said.
“I did the majority of my graduate school clinical with WMCHC and I felt I gained much knowledge and experience from my preceptors.”
Gaeng has more than 17 years’ experience in the healthcare field, first as a registered nurse for 16-plus years and then as a family nurse practitioner for one year.
Her career as an R.N. was spent at Regional Hospital in Scranton, where she staffed the telemetry unit.
Gaeng graduated with a master’s degree in family nurse practitioner studies from the University of Scranton.
She is also interested in the treatment of tick-borne diseases.
