HARRISBURG, PA — Gov. Tom Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine have expanded Pennsylvania's mask requirement with a new order. Effective immediately, "masks must be worn whenever anyone leaves home," according to a press release from the governor's office.
"The mask-wearing order will be sent to state and local officials, law enforcement and others tasked with education about the order for those not in compliance."
The order outlines in what situations masks are required:
1) Outdoors, when people cannot maintain six feet of distance from others (not including those who live in the same household or residence),
2) Any indoor location open to the general public,
3) Public transportation, including waiting for public transportation,
4) Obtaining healthcare services from a hospital, pharmacy, doctor's office, and other healthcare facilities,
5) At work, whether inside the workplace, at an off-work site, interacting face-to-face with others, any space visited by members of the public, any space where food is prepared or distributed, any room or enclosed space where social distancing is impossible.
