HONESDALE, PA — Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announced the following cases were addressed on April 11 by the Honorable Janine Edwards, President Judge Wayne County Court:

Daniel Guinther, 60, of Union Dale, PA, was placed on Probation for 12 months on one count of Simple Assault-Mutual Consent, a misdemeanor.

Richard Mahan, 47, of Honesdale, PA, was sentenced to 42 to 180 months incarcerated in a State Correctional Facility on one count of Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver-Methamphetamine-Second Offense, a felony, and one count of Tamper With/Fabricate Physical Evidence, a misdemeanor.

Sonya Stefanik, 52, of Honesdale, PA, was sentenced to ten days to 18 months incarcerated in the Wayne County Correctional Facility on one count of Retail Theft- Take Merchandise-Third or Subsequent Offense.

John Russo, 36, of Scranton, PA, was placed on Probation for 18 months on one count of Stalking and two counts of Terroristic Threats, misdemeanors.

Elysia Diehl, 19, of Lake Ariel, PA, was placed on Probation for 18 months on one count of Recklessly Endangering Another Person and one count of Failure to Prevent Catastrophe, misdemeanors.

Patrick Young, 31, of Allentown, PA, was sentenced to 6 months to 18 months incarcerated in the Wayne County Correctional Facility on two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, misdemeanors.

Jared Elliott, 38, of Lancaster, PA, was found to be in violation of his parole and was remanded to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for the remainder of his sentence, which is October 18, 2024.
