The members of the Diehl Us In 4-H Club have had a busy spring and are gearing up for an even busier summer. Many members recently completed their Public Presentations, which is a requirement to receive an achievement certificate for 4-H.
Public Presentations can be a talk or demonstration on any topic you choose. You give your presentation to the judges and answer any questions they might have. The judges give you feedback and comments. It is great practice to build your public speaking skills.
Many members were chosen to attend District Public Presentations and gave their presentations at Dutchess County Community College on April 27.
Club members are preparing for a busy summer. The 4-H qualifying horse show will be held at Diehl Me In Performance Horses, LLC on July 20 and 21. Members have chosen the horses they will be working with for the summer to prepare for the show and for the fair. They will be working hard to get ready for the show.
Speaking of the fair, the Grahamsville Little World’s Fair will be held August 16-18. 4-Hers are getting their livestock ready and are also choosing what agricultural products they will be entering into the youth auction. Please come out and support our youth at the auction. There are always great entries, not only of livestock, but of baked goods, vegetables, eggs, maple syrup and more.
The fair is always a great time and the local 4-H clubs do a great job. Come out and see the livestock, agricultural products, art, photography and more.
