Looking forward to warmer days and all things spring, but it looks like we will have to wait a little bit for Mother Nature to decide what she wants to do! In the meantime, check out some events and activities in our community and locally:

Mark your calendar for JURNI Quantum Healing Center’s Ribbon Cutting and Open House on Sunday, February 25 at 1 p.m. at 420 Bernas Rd., Cochecton, NY.

JURNI is a healing center committed to providing a natural and holistic approach to wellness using the Energy Enhancement System (EESystem). The EESystem generates multiple energy fields, including scalar waves, creating the optimal environment for the body to rehabilitate itself. In addition, we will be hosting monthly events and providing other wellness-related services for the adults and children soon. They look forward to being part of your health and wellness JURNI.

During the grand opening, the public will have the chance to meet the founders of JURNI and tour the facility. There will be light refreshments along with an opportunity for guests to receive more information regarding the various services and events that will be coming to this women-owned business in the near future.

Currently open by appointment only, new business hours will follow. For more information call 845/932-5113 or email jurni.healing@gmail.com.

A fundraiser for the Ancient Order of Hibernians St. Patrick’s Day Parade (Jeffersonville, NY) is being held on Saturday, February 24 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Annie’s Ruff Cut. There will be live music performed by Windy Mule. No cover; there will be raffle prizes and a 50/50.

Save the date for the Cochecton Youth Commission’s upcoming event at The Kartrite Indoor Waterpark on Saturday, April 20 at 11 a.m. The sign-up date for this event is Tuesday, March 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the lower level of the Cochecton Town Hall. Sign-ups for this event will close promptly at 6 p.m. on March 5. (Sorry, no exceptions) For details about the event, call April at 845/701-2530. The cost for adults is $55. Bring exact cash to the sign-ups.

As always, there is no cost for Cochecton youth.

This program is funded by the County of Sullivan and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services through the Sullivan County Youth Bureau.

Learn to swim! Everyone needs to be proficient in the water. The primary goal at Hudson Valley Swim® is to teach proper swimming techniques, no matter the age of the student. Our swimming lesson program in Fallsburg, NY is for students of all ages and abilities, starting as early as age six months through adult. The program maintains small class sizes to ensure the student gets the care and support needed in a fun and safe environment. Their swimming instructors are experienced and are trained to teach all levels, so children don’t have to change instructors as they advance through the levels.

For more information, check out their website at fallsburg.hvswim.com/pricing or call 845/226-3456.
