Who do we need as legislative chair?

Posted

On election day, we in Sullivan County chose a new legislature of civility over the past four years of drama and chaos.

In January the legislature will choose a chair to lead for the next two years. This will take experience and the chair’s time.

There is only one person who is the most qualified. That person is Mr. Luis Alvarez, District 6. Qualifications: four years as past legislative chair, numerous contacts on the state and federal levels, along with positions on various boards and organizations.

We have two years to “right the ship” before we can move ahead again.

We have elected nine people to be our legislators. They are to represent us for the common good. Do not let the respective party chairs or their individual campaign managers be major influencers, as it does not make for good government.

Select Mr. Luis Alvarez, the only choice.
