WMH Alzheimer’s support group launches

HONESDALE, PA — Wayne Memorial Hospital will hold a new, free, monthly support group for people living with dementia and their care partners.
Presented by the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Pennsylvania, the group meets the first Tuesday of every month from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the hospital’s David Katz Conference Room.
Attendees will learn about community resources, talk through issues and ways of coping, exchange practical information and develop a support system.
Participants can explore the challenges and accept the changes that come as they move forward.
You can participate as much or as little as you like.
If you or someone you know has been diagnosed or is caring for someone with a diagnosis, plan to attend. The next support group meeting is Tuesday, November 7. Registration is not required but is recommended at 800/ 272-3900.
