SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — The second suspect tied to a burglary on July 12, 2023, at 89 Brittman Road in the Town of Bethel, was arrested in an undercover operation on Sunday 17, 2023.

The homeowner told deputies that a safe containing money and precious metals had been removed from the residence. Based on the investigation of the incident deputies were able to identify two suspects - Anthony Boyce, 30, and his brother, Dakota Boyce, 31.

Anthony Boyce was taken into custody later that day but Dakota Boyce managed to elude deputies for the next two months. Ultimately, Dokota was arrested after an undercover deputy offered to buy merchandise that the suspect was selling on the Internet.

“The suspect was very surprised when the deputies jumped out of the car and arrested him,” said Sheriff Mike Schiff.

Dakota Boyce was charged with felony Burglary and Grand Larceny. He was arraigned before Town of Bethel Judge Kevin Rhyne and sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $5000.00 cash bail.
